Avocado Hummus

If you like guacamole, you are going to love this Avocado Hummus! A healthy, filling, and delicious snack that’s quick and easy to make!

One of my favorite light meals is veggies and hummus. They are healthy, filling, delicious, and quick! I love to put together a beautiful platter of fresh vegetables with a big bowl of hummus in the middle.  It comes together so quickly but the finished product looks like you really put a lot of work into it.  I love that!

I must admit that usually I buy hummus – but every time I make it I ask myself why I don’t do that more often because it is SO easy and So delicious!  Plus you can flavor it any way you want.  This recipe is for avocado hummus – if you like guacamole, you are going to love this dip!

This recipe is seriously so easy.  You just blend together a can of chickpeas with 2 avocados and then season it up! The flavors are very similar to guac, which can only be a good thing in my book.  There is lime, cilantro, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne – lots of delicious flavor going on in here.   The chickpeas and the olive oil give it that unique hummus texture and flavor , although you really could serve it with tortilla chips and salsa if you want!

And look how gorgeous this hummus is – I love the green color!   This would be the perfect thing to serve at a party or while watching football.  I know football usually involves buffalo sauce and cheese, but why not make something a little healthier while people are still sticking to their new years resolutions?  And it is so tasty – this dip will definitely be a crowd pleaser.  I think I found my new favorite hummus recipe!

I adore hummus! It is one of the few dips I can sit and eat mindlessly until almost the entire container is gone. Guacamole comes in at a close second so this is a perfect combination! I love your photos by the way definitely pinning :).

Avocado AND hummus?! I’m sold! At the airport the other day, I watched a family throw away an unopened container of hummus that came in an airplane snack box, because none of them liked hummus. How is that even possible?!?
