It is too hot outside. We’ve really only had a couple of terribly hot and humid days in NYC and I’m already sick of it! But the one thing I do like about the heat is that it gives me an excuse to eat ALLLLL of the ice cream. I seriously have some form of ice cream / frozen yogurt / gelato every day of the summer. We are throwing a party today! It is a BABY SHOWER for my good friend Zainab aka Blahnik Baker. Zainab was one of my first blog friends, and she is absolutely amazing. Thanks to jetlag, I was up super early on Saturday morning and the first thing I wanted to do was bake! I missed the kitchen! I get so much inspiration when I travel, and want to recreate everything that I ate. We saw lots of olive oil cakes and lots of cornmeal in the breads and pastries in Italy, so that is what inspired me to make a Cornmeal Olive Oil Blueberry Cake!
