Is everyone gearing up for back to school? I can’t believe summer is almost over! Although the benefit of not having kids and not being in school is that summer isn’t really over until the weather starts to get cold! So even though fall is my favorite season, I’m not quite ready to embrace it just yet. I saw Pumpkin Spice Lattes this morning at Starbucks – it just seems wrong when it is 90 degrees outside and I’m wearing a white dress!

But even though I’m not quite on board with fall, I can get totally get on board with back to school treats, like these Mini M&M cookies! These are the perfect treat to pack in your kid’s lunchbox for the first day of school.

Golden Raisin Pecan Bread

What is your favorite food? I know it is so hard to pick, but if you absolutely forced me to, I think I would say bread. I love bread! And it doesn’t get any better than this homemade Golden Raisin Pecan Bread.

Seriously, this loaf is a winner. Everything about it is perfect – the texture, the flavor, the crust, the looks. It is one of the best loaves I’m made so far. And bonus – the recipe makes two loaves so you can eat one right away and freeze slices of the other one to have fresh bread for weeks! The recipe comes from one of my favorite cookbooks, Flour: Spectacular Recipes from Boston’s Flour Bakery + Cafe.

Rustic Strawberry Peach Tart

Summer fruit shines in this rustic fruit tart (also called a Galette). Peaches and strawberries are surrounded by a light and flaky tart dough – so much easier to make than pie!

And now on to this beauty – my Rustic Strawberry Peach Tart. Also called a freeform tart or a galette. It is one of the best things I have ever made and definitely my favorite thing of the summer. It is similar to pie, but the crust is so simple to make, and it is a little bit sweeter than traditional pie crust. It almost reminds me of a sugar cookie crust, stuffed with delicious fruit. Can’t go wrong with that!

Healthier Chocolate Chip Zucchini bread is the perfect way to use up your zucchini this summer! It is light, although you would never know it – it tastes so delicious!

One of the most popular recipes on my blog is my Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread. And today I have a variation on that delicious loaf – Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread! I love making zucchini bread in the summer – it seems like fresh zucchini is all over the place all summer long and zucchini bread is the perfect way to use it up. You can’t beat having two whole zucchinis hiding in a delicious treat. The whole loaf only has 1/4 cup of oil, yet it is still super moist thanks to Greek yogurt and the zucchini!

These cherry almond muffins are bursting with fresh sweet cherries and are full of almond flavor from almond flour, extract, and chopped almonds!

Happy Saturday! I love waking up on Saturday mornings and baking something for breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and if you haven’t noticed, I really like baking breakfast food! Today we are having Cherry Almond Muffins! The cherries are so beautiful and so delicious right now – I bought a huge bag the other day and couldn’t wait to bake them into a muffin.
