Chocolate and peanut butter is a popular combination in our kitchen. In fact, I think it might be our absolute favorite dessert flavor. We really can’t get enough chocolate peanut butter anything! I bought the cutest mini Reese’s peanut butter cups the other day, and they were just begging to be baked into a delicious peanut butter cookie! Let me tell you, these cookies are dangerous. Chewy chocolate cookies. The name alone says it all – these cookies are to die for. They have quickly made my list of top 5 favorite cookie recipes. That is no small feat, because I am kind of a cookie addict. They are rich and chocolaty from the cocoa powder and the chopped bittersweet chocolate. If you are a chocoholic, you will love this recipe! It is the kind of cookie that just begs for a glass of milk. The dark corn syrup contributes to the most amazing chewy texture. Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies

Let’s talk about chocolate chip cookies – life’s perfect cookie. I think everyone likes chocolate chip cookies and it seems that everyone has their own favorite recipe. I don’t discriminate, I like all different types of chocolate chip cookies – crispy, chewy, soft, I’ll eat them all.

But if you made me choose my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, it has to be Jacques Torres’. The large size means that the edges are slightly crispy, while the inside is soft and gooey. The caramel flavor of the brown sugar really shines through. The sprinkling of sea salt at the end is the perfect compliment to the rich, dark chocolate. I’m still open to other recipe suggestions, but I have tried quite a few different recipes and I keep coming back to this one. …

Confession: I have absolutely no self-control when it comes to cookies. I probably eat at least 5 from every batch I make. It is a problem. Another confession: I don’t really like chocolate and mint together. I mean, I’ll eat it, because it has chocolate in it, but it is not my first choice. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Cookie Bars

When I stumbled upon this recipe on King Arthur’s website I knew I had to make it. (As a side note, I love using King Arthur flour in my baking, and their site has some great recipes!) The salty-sweet combo of the pretzels and chocolate are enough to win me over, but then add in peanut butter? I’m in heaven. And to top it all off, it is so easy! Plus you can make it on a whim because you don’t need to have room temperature ingredients. I knew this would be the perfect recipe to make for my friend’s St. Patrick’s day party.
