Two Guinness posts in a row…it must mean that St. Patrick’s Day is almost here! Or that Guinness was on sale at the market. Or both :) TheBetterHalf and I are both Irish and we went to Notre Dame, so we are big fans of St. Patrick’s Day. What’s not to love about a holiday that allows you to have both Guinness and Baileys for breakfast?

It is my first recipe of the new year, so I thought it was only appropriate to share a donut with you!! If you are new around here, then you might not know about my donut obsession.  I absolutely love making (and eating) baked donuts, and so of course when I was thinking about my first recipe for 2015 I naturally wanted to make donuts.

But don’t worry, I’m not going to ruin the new year’s resolution diets (at least not yet…) – these are SKINNY DONUTS!! Yep, that’s right – skinny donuts with chocolate greek yogurt icing.  There are only 135 calories in each donut, can you believe it?!  And, they don’t taste skinny in the slightest.  They are moist and rich and absolutely delicious.

So you might have noticed it is October and I have not posted any pumpkin recipes yet (ok this beer cheese was made with pumpkin beer, but no actual pumpkin). And that is because I was saving up for this…I have declared this week PUMPKIN WEEK. Yep that’s right, I made up my own food holiday week.

Happy Friday! Labor Day Weekend is so bittersweet. I love having a day off work, the promise of my favorite season ahead, and Notre Dame football starting tomorrow (!). But on the other hand, it means the end of summer which is always kind of sad. So to send summer off in style I drank a bottle of Rosé with my friends last night and made baked blueberry donuts for you – because nothing says summer to me more than fresh berries! And Rosé.
