Istanbul, Turkey (part 1)

An overview of some of the sights and restaurants in the amazing city of Istanbul, Turkey and a closer look at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet.

Istanbul, Turkey | chezcateylou.com In February, Cate and I spent four nights in Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul is a truly transcontinental city as it falls right on the Asia/Europe border. To get a better appreciation of this gigantic city of almost 14 million people, we spent a few nights in both the historic old city (Sultanahmet) and a few in the newer side near the Bosphorus strait. Brussels, Belgium

After spending a few incredible days in Paris, Cate and I finished our most recent European excursion in Brussels, Belgium.  Remarkably, Brussels is only an 80 minute train ride from Paris.  It is the capital of the European Union and, more importantly for our purposes, home to all four major food groups – french fries, waffles, chocolate and beer (I was never good at that food pyramid thing)….

Paris | chezcateylou.com Confession time. Cate may have had ulterior motives for getting all of her Thanksgiving cooking done a week ahead of time. Yes, part of her motivation for making all of those delicious recipes was so that she could share them on the blog.
